  • Rock bolts and dowels, Shortcrete

Day 3

  • Tunnelling hazards: squeezing, rock burst, chimney formation, face collapse, flooding etc.
  • Tunnelling through squeezing ground conditions
  • Ground improvement techniques: grouting, forepoling, face dowels, roof umbrella, ground freezing
